Fans’ favorite tournament PSL 5 has won hearts all over the world in its early years. It was quite unexpected but due to its escalating popularity and demand, the tournament is renewed each year and is more successful than the last. PSL 5 schedule 2020 is not confirmed yet, however, cricket fans and experts are all in for speculations and sneak peeks.
The tournament is to be played between 20th February and 22nd March in Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Multan and Rawalpindi stadiums owe their entry in PSL venues to the fans’ demands. The final was first announced to be played in Karachi, but now it is said that it will be played in Lahore.
The recent Pakistan-Sri Lanka has paved way for the international cricketers who resisted in the previous seasons to come and play in Pakistan. The successful ODI and T20 series are enough proof of Pakistani stadiums’ standards and the world is quite satisfied with the playing conditions and security assurances.
PSL 5 will be month-long which is nothing different than the usual. 34 matches will be played between six teams. Ten matches will be played by each. The NRR will be a key component in deciding the team’s fate along with the total points earned.
Super overs will not be played in case of tied matches. How-ever they are expected in eliminators and qualifiers. The opening ceremony of PSL is scheduled in February and will take place in Karachi along with the first match of the season. PSL 5 schedule 2020 also depicts that the final and closing ceremony will occur in Lahore. One or two matches will be played every day. The first match will be played at 4:30 PM and the second match will be played around 8:00 PM, according to PST. Single matches are scheduled at 6:30 PM.
